About the Private Hospitals Association (PHA)

Private Hospitals Association (PHA) is a private voluntary, non-profit organization that was established in 1984 representing the Jordanian private hospitals and their interests. The (PHA) membership comprises of independent private hospitals and medical centers in Jordan.

PHA is structured as a trade association, that is, its members are the hospitals, not the individuals working in hospitals. In 2013, there are 45 registered PHA members.

The PHA has gained distinguished reputation locally and internationally and in order to keep this remarkable reputation, it is always seeking to develop the level of medical service offered in Jordan through implementing the highest standard measures and the local accreditation programs, and for that the PHA has partnered in the establishment of national Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC), which considered a real quantum leap in the overall development of medical sector in Jordan. Also Private Hospitals association is represented in several health and medical councils in Jordan such as the Higher Health Council, Jordan Medical Council and Jordan Nursing Council.

PHA achieved “Best Practices Award” from the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence in 2009 & 2011. And is now seeking to receive “The Seal of Excellence” from the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence.
